Becketts has acquired Absolute Sense Financial Planners, a highly respected Chartered financial planning firm based in Ely with more than £135 million in assets under advice and over 350 clients. The acquisition strengthens Beckett’s position in East Anglia and enhances the breadth of expertise available to clients across the region.

They also bring additional expertise with their specialist accreditations in later life financial planning and advising clients on divorce.

Following the transaction, founder Peter Waggitt will retire. He expressed his support for the move and confidence in the future for clients and the team: “After many years building Absolute Sense, my priority was ensuring our clients and our people would be well looked after. Becketts’ values, professionalism and client-first approach align strongly with everything we have stood for. I am confident this is the right home for our clients and for Russell and Paul as they continue their careers.”
As part of the integration, Absolute Sense’s Ely office will close, and the team will relocate to Becketts’ head office in Bury St Edmunds.
